Rembrandt Hotel & Towers, 10 September 2011 – The Rembrandt Hotel cordially invites collections of Sweden’s finest glassworks and silver cutlery to Bangkok for the first time. On September 20th 2011 at the lobby of the Rembrandt Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 18, masterpieces from Orrefors, Kostaboda and Gense & Memagab will be on display and available for purchase to the general public.

The exhibition will be on September 20th – 25th at 10:00 until 14:00 hrs and again at 16:00 until 19:00 hrs. The grand opening will be presided over by His Excellency Klas Molin, Ambassador of Sweden, Khun Abha and ML Laksasubha Kridakon, the owner of Baan Laksasubha resort, at the lobby of the Rembrandt Hotel starting 18:30 hrs on September 20th 2011. 

CBP 2091

The highlight of the exhibition is a piece of cutlery known as CBP 2091, a modern round shape sliver of cutlery for the set table, designed by HRH Carl Philip Bernadotte of Sweden who getting his inspiration from international cities and architecture.
Prince Carl Philip was educated as a designer at Rhode Island School of Design in USA and Forsbergs School in Stockholm. The sliver cutlery is the first product to be launched under the brand name CPB. The numbers 2091 represents the year and the model l.
Sliver as a material is extremely exciting to work with because of its tone and lustre, as well as the fact that it grows beautiful with age. The water glass gives new energy to the set table, I am proud over the result,” said Prince Carl Philip to MemaGab, one of the Nordic regions largest and leading producers of silver cutlery.
